WHAT IS WIC?
WIC is a nutrition program that provides health education, vouchers for healthy food, and other free services to Colorado families who qualify. WIC stands for Women, Infants and Children.
WIC is for:
Pregnant women
Breastfeeding women (up to one year postpartum)
Non-breastfeeding, postpartum women (up to 6 months postpartum)
Infants
Children until the age of 5 years
The WIC Program Includes:
Nutrition education
Breastfeeding support
Nutritious foods to supplement a person's regular diet
Screenings and referrals
To be financially eligible for WIC, a participant’s combined gross income cannot exceed 185% of the federal poverty standards. For example: A family of four can make up to $3,400 per month and still be eligible. Click here for income guidelines http://www.fns.usda.gov/wic/FAQs/FAQ.HTM

WIC clinics are held once a week at the Grand County Public Health office in Hot Sulphur Springs at 1st & Moffat streets.
A Fraser WIC clinic is held at Wapiti Meadows on the 1st Wed. of the month.
A Kremmling WIC clinic is held at the CSU Extension Hall on or around the 4th Monday of the month.
