Help a Child, Improve Your Community
Mentors In Life Enrichment (MILE) is a one-to-one community mentoring program for youth ages 10-17 within Grand County.
You could make a difference in a young person’s life by spending two
hours a week with him or her. So far, the program has 6 adult
mentors (and is actively seeking more) and 10 kids, says Ian
Aneloski, Program Coordinator. “When a young person bonds to a
pro-social adult outside the family a developmental asset is created,” Aneloski explains. The more developmental assets youth possess, the
less likely they are to engage in risky behavior and the more likely they
