Help a Child, Improve Your Community
Mentors In Life Enrichment (MILE) is a one-to-one community mentoring program for youth ages 10-17 within Grand
County.
You could make a difference in a young person’s life
by spending two
hours
a week with him or her. So far, the
program has 6 adult
mentors (and
is actively seeking more)
and 10 kids, says Ian
Aneloski,
Program
Coordinator. “When a young person bonds to a
pro-social
adult
outside the family a developmental asset is created,” Aneloski
explains.
The more developmental assets youth possess, the
less
likely they are
to engage in risky behavior and the more likely they
are
to do
well in
school.” Contact Ian Aneloski, Grand County Juvenile
Services, at
